“Got Lit?”

My professor in my first college English course at UNC Charlotte assigned an essay entitled “Got Lit?” The essay was designed to make us more comfortable with our writing style and to help us find our voice. The easiest way to do this was for us to write about a subject matter that we thoroughly knew: ourselves. We had to write about one of our “literacies.” Our literacy was something that extended past reading and writing: it was a passion, knowledge wealth, or unique ability. From what I heard from other classmates, the array of literacies in the classroom ran from lacrosse, to aviation, to wiring, to education. Mine? The latter. I love the kiddos and the idea of making a greater impact on their lives, so elementary education was my topic. After we completed the essay we had to write a reflection on the assignment. To display our work, we created an ePortfolio. The major works I completed in English 1103 and its ePortfolio representation can be found here.
